MEGADETH's THE LIVE LINE Teams Up With SMART REPLY

August 23, 2008

According to a posting on MEGADETH's official web site, The Live Line — a service launched by MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine that enables musicians to connect to their audience over the phone — has partnered with leading edge company Smart Reply to make sure that MEGADETH fans get the best experience when calling in to the band through their The Live Line phone numbers. The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) is now requiring all callers to give approval to receive pre-recorded messages. The ruling represents a new era in respectful communications and preference marketing by eliminating consumers' frustration with unwanted messages. The group says, "In keeping with MEGADETH's high level of respect for the fans, the band is proud to be part of The Live Line and part of the solution."
